Brighton Ridge Therapy and Living Center strives to provide patients with a home-like environment while keeping them safe and promoting their well-being. We provide a full range of 24-hour nursing services with physician oversight. We also offer transportation and assistance to local medical appointments for residents.
Dining
Our dining room offers a relaxed dining experience for our residents and their families. Guests are invited to dine with their loved ones. Residents can also choose to dine in their room.
Brighton Ridge, offers many social activities for our residents to interact and have some fun. We have a variety of programs so that everyone can find something interesting to do. Socialization is very important to reduce the possibility that our residents experience feelings of isolation. All cognitive levels are taken into account and the activities offer plenty of one-on-one attention.
All of the activities we plan are geared to appeal to our residents’ varied interests. Some of our social program activities that take place at Brighton Ridge include:
Concerts
Religious services
Arts and crafts
Interactive games like bingo and bowling
Gardening
Monthly Cookouts (Summer)
We also offer many different types of outings that allow our residents to have a great time being out and about together. Our residents enjoy trips for:
Picnics
Shopping
Public library
Restaurant dining
Fishing trips
Dinner Theater
In addition to these local trips, our residents have enjoyed visits to the many shows that Eureka Springs offers to tourists. This makes our residents always feel like they are on vacation.
Therapeutic Activities
In addition to a full program of social activities, Brighton Ridge residents may participate in our health and fitness offerings. Residents can benefit from strengthening exercises and walking. Our Restorative Nursing professionals are dedicated to helping residents be as mobile as possible.
Family Involvement
Families play a key role in helping their loved ones adjust to life at DeQueen Therapy and Living Center. One way to make the experience more positive and comfortable is, of course, to visit regularly and spend quality time together. Try to incorporate things your loved one has long enjoyed doing. For example, if she enjoyed reading, start a book together that can be read aloud one chapter at a time. If he loved perusing the newspaper every day, make sure his subscription is continued. Most of all, enjoy the time spent with your loved one. And remember, if you have to miss a visit, a meaningful phone call or letter will be well received, too.
